Canopedia (2023)
Aluminium Cans, Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Rhino
Canopedia explores the environmental impact of aluminium waste and the role of everyday actions in the climate crisis. The project encourages aluminium recycling through sustainable design, focusing on using every part of the can to transform waste into meaningful outcomes. Developed through collaborative teamwork, the project strengthened communication and interdisciplinary learning while highlighting how thoughtful material choices can support more responsible and environmentally conscious design.

| Re-cans for product design - Why Aluminium?
Aluminium was chosen due to its presence in daily life and the vast amount of cans discarded from everyday consumption. While lightweight, durable, and visually distinctive, aluminium production is highly energy-intensive and generates significant air and water pollution. Recycling aluminium reduces the need for raw material extraction, lowers energy consumption, and significantly decreases greenhouse gas emissions, making it a crucial material in addressing environmental challenges.
